A set of photos I shot with my friend Anna in nature on a rainy afternoon in October, a distance away from civilization. The forest was cold and desolate and the perfect place for this Little Red Riding Hood shoot. You should look at the photos as a little story with an open ending. I’d love to hear what you think about it.
Anna prepared the outfit and the accessories with lots of enthusiasm and it’s so inspiring to work with someone who puts her heart into it instead of showing up without any ideas, leaving everything to me.
I wished my life was filled with more moments like this. Running around in nature, the cold biting my fingers, unstable ground under my feet, the silence filled with forest noises and sometimes disturbed by our laughter and voices. Swallowed up by nature with a camera in my hand and a person to take photos of is when I feel most alive.
Tomorrow I’m leaving Switzerland again, this time for a ten-days trip through Germany. I’m going to stay in different cities – Stuttgart, Koblenz, Marburg and Frankfurt – and visit some friends. Most of them are bloggers with whom I was able to build a lasting friendship, but there’s also Greta, a former Romanian exchange student who was in Switzerland and whom I was lucky enough to have in my group during our exchange student gatherings.
I’m looking forward to taking tons of photos with my newly bought Canon EOS 5D Mark II. I also missed feeling like a stranger and having a new environment around me. I can’t wait to have meaningful conversations with those girls, walking in nature and through busy Christmas streets.
What I expect? I want to deepen our friendships, experience how they live, create new memories together and get the feeling of being lost again. Snap out of my routine, my nomad heart feels restless. And at the end of the trip are Christmas and the arrival of my love.
Take care, dearest readers.
